Their last full day here, we started off the day right by climbing Diamond Head
We moved to Hawaii in June 2006. I created a blog so friends and family could see what we were doing. Army moved us to Georgia and now, we're back in Hawaii, less than 2 years later. Maybe I'll be better about updating my blog!

Day 8 - Diamond Head & Waikiki Beach
Day 7 ~ North Shore
Thursday we went to the North Shore, here's one of our stops at Kualoa Park
Day 6 - the beach!
We went to a beach I'd never been to before, at Ka'ena Point State Park, the last beach you can drive to on the west coast. When we arrived, there were only 3 other people there. We loved having the place practically to ourselves!

After the beach we drove through the Wai'anae Mountain Range to the Dole Plantation. Here me and Lauren at an overlook of the Wai'anaes.
Fun time always at Dole. The Dole Whip was a huge hit!
This tree is called an Eucalyptus Rainbow, and behind it - a rainbow - way cool!!
Beautiful scene as we're driving out of Dole ~
Day 5 - Makapu'u
Monday we walked up the Makapu'u Trail, leading to a view overlooking the lighthouse and Sandy Beach.
Halfway up our walk, it started to rain on us (hard by Hawaii standards) and we got drenched! Once it quit raining, we were quickly dried by the wind. Below we are taking shelter in the pencil cactus grove. (smart Lauren wore a hat!)

Day 3 & 4
Day 3 Lauren and Jenéll went to the Swap Meet, they didn't take the camera and didn't need it except for when the Chinese Lions arrived, bringing good luck for the new year. The rest of the day, we caught up on each other, rested and watched the Super Bowl.
Day 4 Lauren and Jenéll went to Pearl Harbor. After picking them up, we drove up to the top of our road to Keaiwa Heiau State Park.
